Comicon 2011- GEEK!!!

The “geek” culture is very close to my heart. Being a hardcore gamer, illustrator and filmmaker, it all gels together. And, Comicon is a nexus for that.
This was held in the Jacob Javits Center and filled to the brim with things to do. I wanted to bring across the culture in its most potent and beautiful form.

Relationships are difficult. A young lady realizes one morning than her recently dissolved relationship still weighs heavily on her mind. She recounts the highs and the lows, the beginning and the end of what once defined her.
Through this turmoil she manages to find her resolve and does what she has to in order to face another day.

Working in conjunction with Frank Shamrock, I had the opportunity to have a sit down interview with one of Philly’s and NYC’s most notable heroes of this year.

Mr Joseph Lozito.

Joe was able to take time out with us to discuss what happened on the Subway that fateful day where he was almost killed. But, to his advantage and influence from years of watching Mixed Martial Arts, was able to defend himself and apprehend the attacker- who had just finishing a killing spree throughout NYC.

WORLD GRAND PRIX- 1st ROUND

3 days in the in New York City and New Jersey
Strikeforce held its first World Grand Prix tournament to determine the world’s strongest fighter in the Heavyweight Division. Involving 8 of some of the world’s best competitors, this film dictates 3 days of events that led up to the first half of the 1st Round of the tournament in the East Coast.

This is a teaser trailer for an upcoming short film for the World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament 2011- First Round. This half of the first round was held in the IZOD Center in E. Rutherford, NJ.

The film will take a behind the scenes look at the production of the GP, the promotional expo held in NYC and views from some of of the fighters and trainers involved.

New York MMA is a web docu series dedicated to educating and giving exposure to the schools, gyms and teachers who make up the DNA of martial arts within New York State.The purpose is to introduce the culture at its very core in a way where everyone can understand the competitors and the threads that make up the sport. This journey will take us to various camps and competitions throughout New York City and New York State. In addition, it will begin to touch on the points of why the legalization of the sport continues to be stifled and the reasoning behind it.
